
Abell 2744, apodado el clúster de Pandora, es una acumulación gigante de cuatro grupos de galaxia más pequeños. El clúster es tan masivo que su poderosa gravedad dobla la luz de las galaxias muy por detrás de él, haciendo que los objetos de fondo parezcan más grandes y brillantes en un fenómeno llamado lente gravitacional. En esta imagen de Hubble, el gigantesco clúster Abell 2744 se encuentra a unos 3.500 millones de años luz de distancia.
