
La imagen infrarroja de Webb del clúster de Galaxy El Gordo ("The Fat One") revela cientos de galaxias, algunas nunca antes vistos en este nivel de detalle. El Gordo actúa como una lente gravitacional, distorsionando y aumentando la luz de las galaxias de fondo distantes. Dos de las características más destacadas en la imagen incluyen la delgada, ubicada justo debajo del centro de la imagen, y el Fishhook, un swoosh rojo en la parte superior derecha. Ambas son galaxias de fondo con lente.
