
Este campo de galaxia profunda del Nircam de Webb (cámara de infrarrojo cercano) muestra una disposición de 10 galaxias distantes marcadas por ocho círculos blancos en una línea diagonal de rosca. (Dos de los círculos contienen más de una galaxia). Este filamento de 3 millones de años luz está anclado por un cuásar muy distante y luminoso, una galaxia con un agujero negro activo y supermasivo en su núcleo. El cuásar, llamado J0305-3150, aparece en el medio del grupo de tres círculos en el lado derecho de la imagen. Su brillo eclipsa su galaxia anfitriona. Las 10 galaxias marcadas existieron solo 830 millones de años después del Big Bang. El equipo cree que el filamento eventualmente se convertirá en un grupo masivo de galaxias.
